First and foremost I sincerely hope everyone impacted by the Washington State wildfires are safe and out of harms way.

  • Nearly 65,000 people have been evacuated from their homes in Spokane County, Washington, as crews battle three major wildfires. No injuries or deaths have been confirmed, but evacuating this many people in cars via roads must be slow.

  • Ongoing battle: More than 700 structures have been destroyed, with the fires consuming more than 8,000 acres with 0% containment since they started Saturday, officials said. Today offers firefighters their best conditions in days — light winds and a high near 80 — but the break is brief, with temperatures set to climb back into the 90s by Wednesday.

  • More than 10,000 structures are at “at risk” as wildfires burn in Spokane County, said Dave Upthegrove, commissioner of public lands for Washington State.

I made an analysis this morning based on the U.S. Intervention of helping the Yen. I won’t repeat myself but I recommend you consider the implications.

The biggest heist in Japan may not have involved the Yakuza at all.

“日本史上最大の「強奪」は、実はヤクザとはまったく無関係だったのかもしれない。”

While the Yen Carry trade is 100% legal, It is the biggest ethical crime in Japan that no one is telling it’s own people about. @ Jake Adelstein.
