1.WASHINGTON — President Trump said Friday he had ordered two nuclear submarines moved closer to Russia in response to “highly provocative statements” by a top Kremlin official.
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, now the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, had taunted Trump directly in a recent post on X, saying “each new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war.”
2.A massive interstellar object named 3I/ATLAS, roughly the size of Manhattan, is drawing attention from scientists due to its unusual trajectory through our Solar System. In a provocative new paper, Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb and his team suggest it could be alien technology—and possibly preparing for a stealthy approach toward Earth in November 2025. Unlike previous interstellar visitors, its orbit seems calculated, potentially allowing it to remain hidden during a key solar alignment. While the theory is controversial, it raises intriguing questions about the nature and intent of objects entering our cosmic neighborhood.
Based on current data, the interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS will make its closest approach to Earth on December 19, 2025.
