Xi Jinping has renewed calls for the yuan to become a global reserve currency. Writing in the Party journal Qiushi on Saturday, the Chinese leader signaled a continued push to decouple Beijing from its reliance on the US dollar.

A reminder, no reserve currency has relinquished its status without a global war.

Maybe it is a pipe dream for China and BRIC leaders. You can now add Canada as another “C”.
